Tip 1: Select Transitional Pieces

Tip 3: Change our Greenery

Just as the colors change outside, so should your greenery and flowers inside.  Changing up your usual green foliage for more autumnal hues will help keep your décor feeling authentic and seasonal, and give a smooth segue into fall.  Artificial foliage and flowers are great because you can swap out individual stems for more seasonal options, but don’t miss out on natural sticks and twigs, too!  PRO TIP: While you can’t change the color of live houseplants, there are lots of houseplants that have great fall colors every day.  One of my favorites is the Croton.  The leaves feature stunning oranges and rusts – and they are easy to care, for too.

BONUS TIP: An easy way to jump-start your transition is with candles.  Changing summery scents for more fall options will make your home smell ready for the season.  And don’t forget your pillars and tapers – swap those out for more seasonal colors and you’ll be prepared for fall in no time!
